Closing the Gap Between Potential and Performance (6/3/2025)

Happy Tuesday!
I got a text from a friend last week who was back from a vacation and said it took a couple of days to get caught up from emails, what he missed and more. Most of us can understand that in one way or another.
I am back from a vacation this week, but this newsletter was written while I was on vacation. Why write while on vacation? Three reasons:
Adrienne, who edits and prepares this for publication, is on vacation this week (I normally write it Monday mornings so she can do her magic).
I wasn’t able to write it before I left.
After nearly 1,100 consecutive issues without a miss, I wasn’t going to skip a week. 😊
Because of the vacation though, I am not writing two articles for you today, just one. But there is good news too. The article addresses the name of this newsletter in a tangible and practical way and it relates to the theme of our webinar scheduled for Friday June 13 at 1 pm ET.
Yes, we’ve scheduled a webinar on Friday the 13th. But attending will be far from unlucky. In fact, it will be incredibly valuable for you and all the leaders in your organization. Please register and join us.
Make it a great Tuesday and remember…
You are Remarkable!
Kevin 😊

Others seem to have gaps that are so large that we see tragedy in the life stories. However wide the gaps, we all have them. If we can understand the barriers that stand in the way of us closing the gap, we can consciously work to remove or reduce the impact of those barriers.
There are three major types of barriers that cause this gap between our massive potential and the performance we exhibit. These barriers can apply in any part of our life for any performance outcome we would like to achieve. Once we can identify these barriers, we can take steps to remove or overcome them.
The barriers fall into three categories: mental interference, skill development, and habits…
